The secret to irresistible spaghetti

How do you make 250 kg of spaghetti sauce? To answer that question, you could hunt down a recipe online and multiply all the standard quantities by 250. Perhaps AI could even do it for you in one go. And indeed, you would probably end up with something like: 82 kg of minced meat, 50 liters of diced tomatoes, 17 liters of wine, 16 kg of sliced bell peppers, 15 kg of onions, and just as many mushrooms. But the most important ingredient is often forgotten: love! 

They know all about that in Velzeke. During the Spaghetti and Croque Feast on May 1 and 2, many volunteers joined forces. Besides the 260 guests who came to eat at the Parish Center, other supporters ordered an additional 150 kg of spaghetti sauce. They worked up quite a sweat in the kitchen, but it turned out to be a massive success with fantastic results. The proceeds will be put to good use to further develop the projects selected by our Tanzanian branch this year.
