In 2011, we built a computer lab for St. Margreth, the girls' secondary school in Igunga. At that time, it was the very first computer lab in all of Tabora, a region more than twice the size of Belgium. Thanks to 40 old computers from Randstad Belgium, the students could now learn how to work with a computer. A year later, the computer lab at St. Leo, our primary school, followed.
After 14 years, those devices were completely worn out. That is why we purchased 20 new computers for St. Margreth last year. With the support of Vrije School De Kinderberg from Bierbeek, which raised money for Bollé Bollé during their Lent campaign this year, we were able to purchase 25 computers for St. Leo in June. Later this year, we will also provide 7 computers for St. Desiderius, the primary school in Kibigiri. This way, the students can once again practice their computer skills on a real device: a world of difference!
